VOLKSWAGEN CANADA GAME CHANGERS PROGRAM
THIS PROGRAM IS OPEN TO CANADIAN RESIDENTS ONLY AND IS GOVERNED BY CANADIAN LAW
Section 1 - Program Period
VW GAMECHANGERS (the “Program”) is sponsored by Volkswagen Canada, Canadian Premier League & Canada Soccer (“Sponsors”). The Program begins on May 20th, 2026, at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”) and continues through July 17th, 2026, at 11:59:59 PM EDT (the “Program Period”). The Program Period consists of two (2) phases (each a “Phase”) as follows:

ELIGIBILITY TO MAKE A NOMINATION
To participate in the Program and make a nomination (a “Nomination”) as a nominator (a “Nominator”) you must be a resident of Canada who: (i) has reached the legal age of majority in your province/territory of residence at the time of participation.
The sponsor reserves the right to verify the eligibility of the winner.
Section 2 - ELIGIBILITY TO BE NOMINATED:
Volkswagen Canada, the Canadian Premier League & Canada Soccer aim to recognize Canadians who positively impact their communities through soccer. Nominees can be mentors, volunteers, coaches, players, referees, and other leaders passionate about the sport and advocating for awareness, inclusivity, and accessibility. This is an opportunity to highlight and celebrate these inspirational community members.
A Nominee that has been awarded a donation or prize from the program within the last five (5) years is not eligible to win in this year's program.
Volkswagen Canada , Canadian Premier League and Canada Soccer reserve the right, in its sole and absolute discretion at any time, to disqualify any nomination if it is determined that allowing the Nomination/ Nominee to participate in the Program could bring VW Canada , Canadian Premier League and Canada Soccer into public disrepute or in any way impact their reputation in the eyes of the general public or if it is discovered that the Nomination was not compliant with these Terms. The decisions on all matters arising in this regard shall be final and binding without right of appeal
Section 3 - HOW TO MAKE A NOMINATION:
During the Nomination Period, an eligible Nominator can make a Nomination by going to https://www.cplsoccer.com/vwgamechangers (the “Website”) and following the on-screen prompts to obtain and fully complete the Official Nomination Form (the “Form”) with all required information – including, but not limited to: (i) the Nominator’s full name and contact details (the “Nominator”); (ii) the full name and contact details Nominee; and (iii) a written submission (a “Submission”) that describes how the Nominee positively impact their soccer community demonstrating one or more of the following concepts

Support youth in developing life skills they can use on and off the pitch

Encourage diversity and inclusion in the community through soccer initiatives

in the community in need of financial assistance

Sharing passion and growing the game with youth. Empowering them to fall in love with sport

Community clubs need to be in good standing.
To be eligible, all content and materials associated with a Nomination (collectively, the “Nomination Materials”) must: (i) be submitted and received during a Nomination Period; (ii) include all required components and materials noted above; and (iii) be in accordance with these Terms, including, but not limited to, the specific Submission Requirements listed below in Section 2 (all as determined by the sponsors in its sole and absolute discretion).
RECIPEINTS & PRIZING
There are 5 prizes to be won. Five (5) recipients will be chosen by the program sponsors after the close of the nomination period. Each of the nominators of the selected recipients will be contacted via email or by telephone by a representative of the CPL on behalf of all program sponsors. If the nominators cannot be reached and or fails to comply with these rules and requirements within three (4) business days of being contacted, the program sponsors will have sole discretion to randomly select another potential recipient. Before being declared a winner, a Declaration and Release Form (the “Release Form”) stating that he/she has read, understood and complied with these Official Rules (including the eligibility requirements); grants all consents required as contemplated in these Official Rules; authorizes CPL Entities and their designees and assigns to use the winner’s name, voice, city/province of residence, photos, video or film clips, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known without further compensation (financial or otherwise), permission or notification; and releases the Releasees and the supplier and/or provider of prizes from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the winner’s participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the Prize. The selected nominee will be required to participate of the program which includes but is not limited to film/photo content that will be shared on social/digital/broadcast media for promotion of the program.
INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BY ENTERING THE CONTEST, EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE CPL ENTITIES, VOLKSWAGEN CANADA, AND CANADA SOCCER AND THEIR RESPECTIVE PARENTS, AFFILIATES, AND SUBSIDIARIES, ANY OTHER COMPANIES ASSOCIATED WITH THE DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTION OF THE CONTEST, AND ALL OF THEIR RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES, LICENSEES, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS (THE “RELEASEES”) FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ENTRANT’S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. THE CPL ENTITIES DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZE.
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE RELEASEES SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY AND WILL BE RELEASED AND HELD HARMLESS FROM ANY CLAIM, ACTION, LIABILITY, LOSS, INJURY OR DAMAGE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH TO WINNER OR ANY THIRD PARTY OR DAMAGE TO PERSONAL OR REAL PROPERTY DUE IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, BY ANY REASON, TO THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE AND/OR PARTICIPATION IN THIS CONTEST.
Section 4 - LICENSE:
By entering the Program and submitting a Nomination/Application each Nominator and Applicant:
(i) grants to the sponsors, in perpetuity, a non-exclusive license to publish, display, reproduce, modify, edit or otherwise use his/her Nomination/Application Materials (and each component thereof), in whole or in part, for advertising or promoting the Program or for any other reason; (ii) waives all moral rights in and to his/her Nomination/Application Materials (and each component thereof) in favour of the sponsors (and anyone authorized by the sponsors to use such Nomination/Application Materials); and (iii) agrees to release and hold harmless the sponsors and all of the other Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from use of his/her Nomination/Application Materials (or any component thereof), including, without limitation, any claim based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright infringement, trademark infringement or any other intellectual property related or other cause of action whatsoever. (iii) Agree to participation in Phase three of the program - Content share. Chosen recipients will need to participate in filming of content for the program which will be shared on but not limited to all sponsor social channels, websites, email communications.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
The Releasees are not responsible for lost, incomplete, illegible, misdirected, garbled, stolen, or mutilated entries or Release Form.
Entrants in this Contest agree to be bound by these Official Rules and agree that the CPL Entities and their designees and assigns may use the entrant’s name, voice, city/province of residence, photos, video or film clips, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for any other purpose relating to the Contest in any media or format now or hereafter known without further compensation (financial or otherwise), permission or notification.
CPL Entities reserve the right to withdraw, amend or suspend this Contest or to amend these Official Rules, in any way, in the event of an error, technical problem, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the CPL Entities that interferes with the proper conduct of this Contest as contemplated by these Official Rules. Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, CPL Entities reserve the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. CPL Entities reserve the right to cancel, amend or suspend this Contest, or to amend these Official Rules, without prior notice or obligation, in the event of any accident, printing, administrative, or other error or any kind, or for any other reason.
In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these Official Rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, including, but not limited to: the Contest entry form, the website, the App, point of sale, television, radio, print and/or online advertising; the terms and conditions of these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
If a section of these Official Rules is declared or deemed illegal, unenforceable or invalid by a competent court, that section shall be considered invalid, but all unaffected sections shall be applied within the limits of the law.
This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, territorial, and local laws and regulations.
Social Media Platforms. This Contest is not in no way associated with, endorsed, administered, managed or sponsored by any social media platform. Any social media platform used by the entrant to enter the Contest and all affiliates, directors, officers, agents and employees of the social media platform are not liable for any claims arising out of or in connection with the organization of this Contest. However, by participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by the terms and conditions of use, contracts, other policies and/or guidelines governing the social media platform and releases such social media platforms from and against any damage that could arise from the use of this platform.
Not applicable to entrants who are residents of Québec: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Officials Rules or the rights and obligations of entrants or the CPL Parties in connection with this Contest will be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the Province of Ontario and federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other laws. Void where prohibited by law.
Entrants who are Québec residents only: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Officials Rules or the rights and obligations of entrants or the CPL Parties in connection with this Contest will be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the Province of Québec and federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other laws. Void where prohibited by law. You acknowledge that you were provided with the French version of these Official Rules and that, after first having had the opportunity to examine the French version, you have expressly requested to be bound only by the English version of these Official Rules and that all documents related to these Official Rules be drawn up in English only.
PERSONAL INFORMATION PRIVACY:
By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the CPL Entities and their agent’s collection, use and disclosure of entry information for the purposes of administering this Contest, conducting internal analysis, and as otherwise set out in CPL’s privacy policy which is available at: https://www.cplsoccer.com/privacypolicy. The personal information collected by the CPL Entities’ may be transferred to, stored in and used in countries other than Canada, and those other countries may not have laws protecting personal information equivalent to Canada.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
By entering this Contest, each entrant agrees to irrevocably assign and transfer all of their worldwide rights, title and interest in and to, and waive all moral rights in, the copyright and other intellectual property rights of their entire Contest entry.
The CPL and individual CPL member team identifications are trademarks and copyrighted designs, and/or other forms of intellectual property of the Canadian Premier League. and the respective CPL member teams.
