About the Volkswagen Game Changers Program
Since 2022, the Volkswagen Game Changers program has been dedicated to celebrating the unsung heroes of grassroots soccer in Canada. From coaches who go the extra mile, to parents organizing rides and snacks, to volunteers who keep the pitch ready — these are the people who power the game in their communities.
By the end of this year, Volkswagen Canada will have contributed over $125,000 to support these deserving individuals and their local initiatives.

Our Ambassador
Andi Petrillo is an award-winning sportscaster whose career spans more than two decades. She made history as the first full-time female studio host on Hockey Night in Canada, breaking new ground for women in sports broadcasting. During her time with CBC, she has anchored coverage of major international events, including the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games, and six consecutive Olympic Games (2014–2024).
Petrillo currently serves as the lead host for OneSoccer, where she brings her deep knowledge and passion for the game to coverage of Canada’s men’s and women’s national teams, the Canadian Championship, and the Canadian Premier League. Her sharp analysis and strong connection to the Canadian soccer landscape consistently elevate the broadcast.
A trailblazer in Canadian sports media, Petrillo has received numerous accolades throughout her career. In 2022, she became the first woman to win the prestigious “Outstanding Broadcaster” award, cementing her legacy as a leader and pioneer in the industry.
