The German striker has been on fire in the month of May.

Cavalry FC extended their unbeaten streak to seven games to begin the 2026 CPL season with a 3-0 win over Pacific FC this past weekend at ATCO Field.

With his stoppage-time strike in that match, Cavalry attacker Tobias Warschewski extended a streak of his own, with goals now in three straight CPL matches -- and four straight in all competitions, including the match winner against Pacific in the TELUS Canadian Championship as well.

Adding an assist earlier in the match as well on a pinpoint corner kick that was headed home by Amer Didić, and creating four chances, Warschewski has been named the Maple Lodge Farms CPL Player of the Week for Matchweek 7.

It has been a strong start to the season for the German striker. With four goals and two assists in the CPL, he is tied with Halifax Wanderers' midfielder Isaiah Johnston for the league lead in goal contributions.

Both player and club will now face a significant test as they look to extend their respective streaks this weekend, taking on Forge FC at Hamilton Stadium on Sunday, May 31 (4 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. MT) on OneSoccer and CBC Gem. The winner of that match will leave with first place in the standings.
