The Halifax goalkeeper made four saves during his side's 1-1 draw with Inter Toronto, including an outstanding double save in the 32nd minute, and making himself big to deny Altobelli on a breakaway.
Defenders
Adam Pearlman (Cavalry FC)
Pearlman was excellent down the right flank on Sunday, winning eight of 10 duels and making four tackles. He also created two chances during a strong outing at ATCO Field.
Amer Didić (Cavalry FC)
Didić rose high to head home Cavalry's second of the match on Sunday. He also completed 60 of 65 passes, and made four clearances.
Noah Abatneh (Atlético Ottawa)
Abatneh opened the scoring on Sunday at TD Place with a great bit of reaction play in a 2-1 win over Forge FC. He also completed 80 of 85 attempted passes and made some strong defensive interventions.
Joaquim Coulanges (Atlético Ottawa)
Coming onto the pitch in the 68th minute, Coulanges made an immediate impact, scoring a late match winner on a lovely dribble and curling strike. He also won a pair of tackles and contested six duels.
Midfielders
Juan Castro (Atlético Ottawa)
A key part of Atleti's victory on Sunday over Forge was the way they dominated the midfield. Castro played a big part in that, as he was nearly perfect in possession, completing 56 of 57 passes. He also won five of six duels and made four tackles.
Isaiah Johnston (Halifax Wanderers)
Johnston scored his fourth goal of the season, tying him for the league lead, on a stunning strike from distance. He was dangerous throughout Sunday's match in an advanced role, consistently making good runs into attacking positions.
Sergio Camargo (Cavalry FC)
The Cavalry attacking midfielder opened the scoring on Sunday at ATCO Field with some good pressure on the Pacific keeper. He also won the ball eight times during another solid shift in midfield.
Forwards
Tobias Warschewski (Cavalry FC)
With a goal and an assist, Warschewski put in a Man of the Match performance against Pacific on Sunday. He also created four chances, and made it three consecutive games with a goal.
Mohamed Amissi (Vancouver FC)
Amissi scored a late chip in Vancouver FC's 1-1 draw with FC Supra du Québec, one of many chances he had during the match with six shot attempts. He also created a chance and won possession seven times.
Julian Altobelli (Inter Toronto)
Altobelli scored a goal of the season candidate with a stunning top corner strike to open the scoring on Saturday. It was his fourth goal of the season, and came on one of a stunning six shots he had in the match, four of which were on target.
