All on-field disciplinary matters for the Canadian Premier League (CPL) are overseen by Canada Soccer, pursuant to its Disciplinary Code and Professional Soccer Club Disciplinary Annex.
The following players and coaches are facing suspension, which have been determined and issued by Canada Soccer, following the sixth week of play in the 2026 CPL Regular Season:
- Juan Quintana, Pacific FC*
Reason for suspension: Red Card - Violent Conduct
Sanction: Three-match suspension (May 24 at Cavalry FC; May 30 vs. Atlético Ottawa; June 6 at FC Supra du Québec)
- Alessandro Biello, FC Supra du Québec
Reason for suspension: Foul and Abusive Language directed at a Match Official
Sanction: Additional Two-match suspension (May 29 vs. Inter Toronto FC; June 6 vs. Pacific FC)
Details: Biello was suspended for a minimum of two (2) matches (May 13 at Forge FC; May 23 at Vancouver FC) after he was issued a red card for Foul and Abusive Language directed at a Match Official in the 90+13th minute of the May 3, 2026 vs. Cavalry FC match. Biello subsequently received an additional two-match suspension following further discipline by Canada Soccer, which will be served May 29 vs. Inter Toronto FC and June 6 vs. Pacific FC.
The Canada Soccer Disciplinary Panel is responsible for reviewing red card claims by CPL clubs. The following red card decision(s) from Matchweek 6 are being appealed by CPL Club(s) to the Canada Soccer Disciplinary Panel:
- Juan Quintana, Pacific FC
Charge: Red Card - Violent Conduct
Claim by Club: Clearly Excessive Penalty
Details: Quintana was suspended for a total of three (3) matches after he was issued a red card for Violent Conduct following Pacific FC’s match against Inter Toronto FC on Sunday, May 17. The remainder of the sanction will be determined following a virtual hearing and an adjudication of the Canada Soccer Disciplinary Panel.
