All eight teams are in action at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT on Sunday, Oct. 25

It all comes down to this.

On Sunday, the 2026 CPL Shield winner, who makes this year's playoffs, and the semifinal matchups will all be decided.

Four matches, kicking off simultaneously from coast to coast, will close out the 2026 campaign. Three of them, in particular, could be season-defining for the clubs playing in them.

Here are the key storylines on the final day of the 2026 Canadian Premier League season:

Cavalry FC vs. Vancouver FC

4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT — ATCO Field — OneSoccer, CBC, TSN
Tickets available here.

There has never been a more consequential regular season match in Canadian Premier League history.

A victory for Cavalry FC at home on Sunday and they almost certainly lift the CPL Shield on their home field.

A victory for Vancouver FC, and they make the playoffs for the first time in club history.

Winning in Calgary, however, won't be easy. No away team has done it in over a year, and the Cavs could set a single-season CPL record for home points with 36 if they win.

A draw does little for either side, so expect fireworks until the final whistle and two clubs with their entire regular season goals on the line.

Halifax Wanderers vs. FC Supra du Québec

4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT — Wanderers Grounds — OneSoccer, TVA Sports 2
Tickets available here.

FC Supra du Québec travel to Halifax for the final match of their first-ever CPL regular season, knowing that they need a victory at all costs.

Three points for Supra, combined with a draw or a loss for Vancouver FC in Calgary, and they are in the playoffs. Any other result and their playoff hopes are over.

The last time Supra travelled to Halifax, Loïc Kwemi erased a two-goal deficit in just over 12 minutes with the fastest hat trick in CPL history for a dramatic 3-2 win.

Supra ended Halifax's playoff dreams last weekend when they defeated Inter Toronto at home. So the Wanderers will be out for revenge, and to give the always incredible fans at the Wanderers Grounds one final celebration this season.

Pacific FC vs. Forge FC

4 p.m. ET / 1 a.m. PT — Royal Athletic Park  — OneSoccer
Tickets available here.

Already history makers this week in Montréal, where they became the first Canadian Premier League club to win the Voyageurs Cup, Forge travel across the country to Victoria in pursuit of more silverware.

An outstanding run over the past few weeks has them tied on points with Cavalry at the top, behind only on goal difference. That difference is significant, seven goals, so Forge's best hope at lifting the CPL Shield on Sunday is simply picking up three points and hoping Cavalry don't.

In their final match, and final road match, of a difficult season, bottom of the table Pacific will be desperate for a strong finish to their campaign. After Pacific gave Cavalry all kinds of problems last weekend, nothing will come easy for Forge FC in Victoria.

Inter Toronto vs. Atlético Ottawa

4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT — York Lions Stadium — OneSoccer
Tickets available here.

Two Ontario rivals face off in Toronto with less tangible implications than the other three matchups, but nevertheless an opportunity to end their respective seasons on a winning note.

For Atlético Ottawa, it's about momentum heading into the playoffs. They could make it three straight road victories, which would be a huge momentum boost considering they picked up just three in their first 11 road matches of the campaign.

Toronto, meanwhile, could still move ahead of Halifax with a victory and avoid finishing seventh, the lowest in club history. Regardless, this will be the fewest points they have ever collected in a season.

Player to Watch:

Tobias Warschewski, Cavalry FC

One of the best players in league history, Tobias Warschewski is having his best season yet. The 28-year-old has 11 goals this year, only one short of the 12 he scored when he won the CPL Golden Boot in 2024. But what has truly set him apart is his ability to create goals, with a CPL single-season record of 10 assists this season. In Cavalry's biggest moments over the years, Warschewski has always delivered, and as they search to lift the CPL Shield on Sunday, they will be counting on him to come up big once again. With seven goals and an assist in 13 matches against Vancouver FC, he has always enjoyed facing the Eagles.
