The Forge midfielder helped his side to a dominant derby performance

It looked like it was game on at York Lions Stadium.

In the first 905 derby of the season, Forge landed the first two punches, taking a 2-0 lead into the second half.

But just under two minutes into the second 45, Toronto's Julian Altobelli played a perfect cross at the back post to Max Ferrari and the hosts cut the lead in half.

Before they could gain any momentum, however, Forge struck again. Picking up the ball from Anthony Aromatario, Tristan Borges turned and unleashed a strike from distance that Toronto goalkeeper Diego Urtiaga got a hand to, but couldn't keep out.

Borges added a brilliant assist from a corner kick ten minutes later as Forge took a commanding 4-1 lead. For his incredible performance in the league leaders' dominant display on Sunday, Tristan Borges earned the Maple Lodge Player of the Week honours of Matchweek 9.

The goal and assist came courtesy of an outstanding overall performance during which Borges had six shot attempts and created a stunning seven chances.

Despite Forge's dominant performances this season, Borges is the first Forge player to be named Player of the Week this season.
