Pacific FC today announced the signing of forward Dylan DeMelo to a Development Contract for the 2026 Canadian Premier League (CPL) season.
DeMelo hails from London, Ontario, where he came up through the London TFC Academy. He made his FC London Premier Men's debut in the recently re-named Ontario Premier League at just 15 years old, playing 75 minutes in his first senior appearance.
DeMelo, 17, joins a growing list of talented young players signed to the club, including Sami Keshavarz and Mattias Vales. The club's development-focused approach has been a cornerstone of its philosophy since its inception in 2019.
“Dylan is a dynamic and versatile attacking threat on the pitch who in our training and friendlies has put up goals and assists,” said Terry Dunfield, Head Coach, Pacific FC. “He was very quickly accepted by our group, and we are happy to have him as part of the Trident family.”
DeMelo spent his youth at Alliance FC as youth and joined London TFC Academy system in his early teens.
DeMelo has Italian citizenship through his mother’s side.
In signing a Development Contract, DeMelo is eligible to make four appearances for Pacific while maintaining his amateur status and the ability to train with the amateur team that holds his registration, Pacific FC Academy.
Pacific FC's meets Vancouver FC on Friday, August 14 in a B.C. Derby at The Stadium at Langley Events at 6 p.m.
