Pacific FC has added Canadian midfielder Max Piepgrass to its 2026 squad, bringing in a player with professional experience, a strong university resume and a long-standing connection to the CPL.
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Piepgrass has spent much of his career with his hometown club, Cavalry FC.
The 22-year-old first joined Cavalry on a development contract in 2021, making his professional debut that August against Pacific FC. Since then, Piepgrass has had four separate stints with the Calgary club, steadily building his experience at the professional level.
In 2025, the midfielder made 17 appearances for Cavalry across all competitions, including the club’s run in the CONCACAF Champions Cup, where he faced Mexican Liga MX side Pumas UNAM.
He also opened his professional scoring account in 2025, netting his first professional goal during the TELUS Canadian Championship.
Alongside his professional career, Piepgrass has developed into one of the standout players in Canadian university soccer.
While playing for Cape Breton University, he helped the Capers capture the 2023 U SPORTS Men’s Soccer Championship. His individual honours continued to pile up, earning AUS First Team All-Star recognition in 2023 and Second Team honours in 2024. Piepgrass was then named the Atlantic University Sport Most Valuable Player, an AUS First Team All-Star and a U SPORTS First Team All-Canadian.
That combination of professional experience and university success now brings Piepgrass to Pacific FC.
Having already faced the Tridents early in his professional career, the Calgary native will now make Starlighit Stadium his home as he joins Pacific’s midfield.
At just 22 years old, Piepgrass arrives with experience well beyond his age and plenty of room to continue developing.
