TORONTO - Inter Toronto Football Club confirms that midfielder Bohdan Kanafotskyi will re-join Inter Toronto II as part of the club’s Pathway for the 2026 Ontario Premier League season.
Born in Dnipro, Ukraine, Kanafotskyi is an intelligent and composed midfielder who operates primarily in central roles across the pitch. Standing at 183 cm, the Ukrainian midfielder is recognized for his calmness in possession, quick decision-making, and ability to consistently scan the field to anticipate passing options and defensive situations.
Before joining Inter Toronto, Kanafotskyi developed with DVUFK Dnipro and MDUSH Dnipro before moving to Canada in 2024. Following his arrival, he attended Inter Toronto tryouts during the winter of 2025, where he earned a place within the club after impressing in a competitive environment.
Kanafotskyi describes his style as calm and intelligent, combining positional awareness with physicality and efficient passing. He also credits the club environment for helping him adapt to a higher level of intensity while continuing to improve both physically and technically.
“I see the pathway as a clear opportunity to progress step by step to a higher level, from OPL to the First Team,” said Kanafotskyi.
“It motivates me to keep improving every day and gives me a realistic route to reach my goal of playing at a professional level, including the CPL.”
Since arriving at the club, Kanafotskyi has also trained with the First Team environment on multiple occasions, experiences he says have helped improve his confidence, decision-making under pressure, and overall understanding of the professional standard required at the next level.
As part of Inter Toronto II, he will continue progressing within the club’s development structure while pursuing his long-term objective of reaching the professional game.
