TORONTO - Inter Toronto Football Club confirms that goalkeeper Peter Sheberstov will join Inter Toronto II as part of the club’s Pathway for the 2026 Ontario Premier League season.
Born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, the Canadian goalkeeper brings experience from multiple League1 Ontario environments along with a strong academic and athletic background. Standing at 6’3”, Sheberstov is recognized for his agility, athleticism, shot-stopping ability, and leadership in organizing the back line.
Prior to joining Inter Toronto, Sheberstov developed through Aurora FC L1 Reserve, Simcoe County Rovers FC, Humber College, and Ontario Tech University. His accomplishments include winning the 2024 CCAA National Championship with Humber College, being named Humber Rookie of the Year in 2025, earning OCAA Second Team All-Star honours, and receiving recognition as the League1 Ontario Premier Division Goalkeeper of the Month in May 2025.
Sheberstov first became interested in the club after seeing former teammates join the academy environment and recognizing the opportunity to develop within a Canadian Premier League pathway. He later attended trials with the intention of joining the League1 structure and continued progressing within the club environment afterward.
“Playing a substantial amount of Championship minutes and developing a more consistent training schedule with the First Team are my goals for the season,” said Sheberstov.
“The Pathway has supported me because playing professionally is what I want to do. Any opportunity to move to the next level will be taken seriously and professionally.”
Balancing football alongside engineering studies, Sheberstov has also made significant sacrifices in pursuit of his development, regularly commuting between training and university commitments while maintaining a demanding academic schedule.
As part of Inter Toronto II, Sheberstov will continue working within the club’s professional pathway while pushing for further opportunities at the next level.
