Just three minutes into this past Wednesday's match, it was clear Inter Toronto were in for a long day.
Cavalry's Goteh Ntignee cut down the wing and played a chipped cross into the path of Tobias Warschewski, who couldn't quite poke it past Diego Urtiaga in the Toronto net. It turned out to be an early warning sign.
For 90 minutes, Ntignee tore down the left flank, creating chances for himself and his teammates in one of the most dominant offensive performances in league history.
In a 5-1 win, Cavalry finished with 19 shot attempts, 13 of which were on target and 4.22 -- and Ntignee with a pair of assists.
For his outstanding performance, Ntignee has been named the Maple Lodge Farms Player of the Week.
He also had five chances created, four shot attempts himself and eight touches in the box.
Ntignee is the third different Cavalry player to be named the league's Player of the Month this season, joining Harry Paton (Week 2) and Tobias Warschewski (Week 7).
