As Told by the Players Themselves

FC Supra du Québec unveiled its inaugural roster and coaching staff at a recent community event, giving fans their first real look at the faces and personalities within the squad.

While the team may be new on paper, the group’s rapport is anything but. Many of these players have been crossing paths for years across Quebec’s soccer scene, as both teammates and rivals.

The numbers back it up: every outfield player has previously shared a team with at least one current teammate, and half the roster has played alongside seven or more. The result is a tight-knit squad with built-in chemistry—players who already know each other, on and off the pitch. That kind of continuity is rare at the professional level, particularly for an expansion team.

To get a feel for their unique chemistry, we asked players a handful of questions to pull back the curtain on the locker room: Who sets the standard? Who keeps things light? Who takes the most time getting ready? Their answers, equal parts sharp and hilarious, paint the picture of a group already aligned, connected, and completely at ease with one another.

Here is FC Supra’s inaugural 28, as told by the players themselves.

The Trailblazers: David Choinière and Aboubacar Sissoko set the tone within the group, but it’s Joakim Milli who has been dubbed the ultimate "survivalist." His resourcefulness and elite athleticism make him an asset if he were ever stranded on a deserted island. The same might not be said for everyone; Sean Rea is apparently much more at home in the city, and Matisse Chrétien’s large appetite suggests he’d find a diet of coconuts and leaves a little lacking.

The DJ / AUX Cord Control: Wesley “Wesboom” Wandje runs the pregame playlist. His teammates trust him to set the vibes every time (listen to his go-to tracks). If he’s ever absent, Ismael Yeo is the designated backup.

Charles Auguste? Future internet star, maybe—but his AUX cord access is permanently revoked. Oussema Boughanmi joins him on that list.

Pregame Ritualist: Not a particularly superstitious group, but Keesean Ferdinand stands out. His pregame stretching and activation routine is detailed, deliberate, and not to be interrupted.

The Style Icons (and Offenders): Diyaeddine Abzi’s Euro-inspired fits get top marks from his peers.

On the flip side, Eliakim Awonongbadje, Jolan Faury, and Makhoudia Diop were flagged as most likely to show up in slides for any occasion. Style intervention pending.

The Main Character: For Alexander Makarova, the spotlight comes naturally. The only note from teammates: time to get over his fear of vegetables, a challenge shared with Isaiah Byer.

The Dapper Playmakers: Confidence runs high in the squad’s creative core. Alessandro Biello, Riad Bey, and Safwane Mlah were pegged as the trio spending the most time fixing their hair before stepping out on the pitch.

The Messi Loyalists: Olivier Correa, Thomas Lebeuf, Omar Elkalkouli, Ibrahim Condé, Clément Bayiha, and Calin Calaidjoglu all agree: their dream Sunday dinner guest is Lionel Messi.

The C. Ronaldo Loyalists: Alexandre Marcoux and Bakary Kaboré go the other way, residing firmly in CR7’s corner in the eternal debate.

Despite the split over of the guest of honour, the menu is set. Most players would serve their respective icon a classic poutine, though ndolé (a rich Cameroonian stew) emerged as a popular alternative.

The Reality Show Pitch: What would a reality show about this group look like? According to the players, it would follow a group of friends finding their way without a map, called something along the lines of Year One, Mid Flight, and Le Hood.

Since every show needs a villain, the players threw out a few names—Loïc Kwemi among them—but a clear majority landed on assistant coach Ramtin Maherpour, likely a tribute to his relentless cardio sessions.
