HAMILTON, Ont. – Forge FC midfielder Tristan Borges has been named the Canadian Premier League’s Player of the Week for Week 9 of the 2026 season.

Borges played a key role in Forge’s 4-1 victory over Inter Toronto FC on Sunday at Hamilton Stadium, recording a goal and an assist as the club extended its lead atop the CPL standings.

The 26-year-old assisted Ben Paton’s second-half goal before adding one of his own later in the match. Borges was also named Performance of the Match following the victory.

Through nine league matches this season, Borges has been a key contributor for Forge as the club has posted a 7-1-1 record and remained unbeaten at home.

Forge returns to action on Wednesday, June 10 when it hosts Halifax Wanderers FC at Hamilton Stadium.
