FC Supra du Québec announced today the signing of forward Jack McInerney to a Standard Player Contract for the remainder of the 2026 season.
The 34-year-old McInerney returns to professional football after last competing with USL side Oakland Roots in 2020. A proven goalscorer with extensive Major League Soccer experience, McInerney brings another attacking option to FC Supra as the Club enters the final stretch of its inaugural Canadian Premier League season. Having previously played in Montreal and since made the city home with his family, his return also marks a familiar next chapter in a career that has taken him across North American soccer.
“Jack brings experience, instincts and a real understanding of what it takes to score goals at this level,” said Supra head coach Nick Razzaghi. “He has played in a lot of different environments throughout his career and knows how to find dangerous areas in and around the box. He gives us another option in attack and adds experience to the group as we look to finish our first season strongly.”
McInerney is a natural forward who was drafted straight out of high school as the seventh overall pick by the Philadelphia Union in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft. Known for his clinical finishing, McInerney ranks second in MLS history for goals scored before the age of 23, with 36. He built a distinguished North American career with the Philadelphia Union, Montreal Impact — where he won the 2014 Canadian Championship and reached the Concacaf Champions League final — Columbus Crew SC, Portland Timbers, and LA Galaxy.
On the international stage, McInerney represented the United States at multiple youth levels, including at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, before earning a senior call-up to the USMNT’s 2013 Concacaf Gold Cup-winning squad.
“Jack has built an impressive career in North American soccer and has a real connection to Montreal,” said club president Rocco Placentino. “Having a player with that experience choose to return to the professional game with FC Supra says a lot about what we are building. As we enter the final stretch of our inaugural season, we’re continuing to strengthen the group while laying the foundation for what we want this Club to become.”
As part of the club’s latest roster updates, FC Supra and Oussama Boughanmi have mutually agreed to terminate his player contract.
With seven matches remaining in their inaugural CPL season, FC Supra return to league action this weekend on the road against Atlético Ottawa on Sunday, Sept. 20, with kickoff set for 12:00 p.m. ET at TD Place.
