Ibrahim Condé has been named Maple Lodge Farms Player of the Week in the Canadian Premier League, after his brace powered FC Supra du Québec into the CPL Playoffs on the final matchday of the regular season.
The 25-year-old Montrealer scored twice in the first half, including six minutes in, as Supra beat the Halifax Wanderers 4-3 in a must-win final game. The victory, combined with Vancouver FC's loss to Cavalry, lifted FC Supra into fourth place to secure a postseason berth in their inaugural season.
Overall, Condé had four shots and five touches in the box against Halifax, with one successful tackle as well.
Condé now has nine goals and three assists in all competitions in his first fully professional season with Supra. He has played 23 games for the club with 16 starts — including the final seven consecutive games of the CPL season where he established himself as a key starter for the club.
This is the fourth time an FC Supra player has been named Player of the Week, as Condé joins teammates Sean Rea (Matchweek 4) and Loïc Kwemi (Matchweeks 14 and 25).
