FC Supra du Québec announced on Monday that they've appointed Kyriakos 'Kyt' Selaidopoulos as head coach and sporting director, effective immediately. The club has parted ways with previous head coach Nick Razzaghi, as well as assistant Ramtin Maherpour.
Selaidopoulos, a Montreal native, comes to Supra from fellow Canadian Premier League side Forge FC. The 48-year-old spent the last six years as Forge's assistant coach, and also recently assumed the roles of assistant technical director and head of youth football.
With Forge, Selaidopoulos won CPL championships in 2022 and 2023, as well as the CPL Shield in 2024 and 2025. He has also been head coach of the Canadian national futsal team since 2016, leading them at the 2016, 2021 and 2024 Concacaf Futsal Championships.
“I have a lot of respect for what I was part of at Forge, but I am confident this was the right next step for me,” said Selaidopoulos in a statement. “The opportunity to lead FC Supra, set the direction of the team and help build something with long-term ambition here in Quebec is one I was ready to take on. My immediate focus is on the matches in front of us. We are going to compete for every point and finish the season with purpose.”
As a player, Selaidopoulos spent 16 years in North American soccer, including two seasons with the Montreal Impact in the USL A-League as well as several years with the Montreal Dynamites of the Canadian Professional Soccer League. He won the A-League title and Voyageurs' Cup with the Impact in 2004.
He spent the final eight years of his career playing in the Major Indoor Soccer League. Internationally, Selaidopoulos played for Canada in both beach soccer and futsal.
He also spent several years as technical director of LS Pro club CS Mont-Royal Outremont.
“From the beginning, this club and this league have been about creating opportunities and developing Canadian talent, not only on the field but off it as well,” said Forge FC head coach Bobby Smyrniotis.
“Kyt has been an important part of what we have built at Forge, and it has been a pleasure to see his growth as a coach over the past six seasons. We’re very pleased to see him earn this opportunity to take the next step in his career and lead a club of his own. We thank Kyt for everything he has contributed to Forge and wish him every success in this next chapter.”
Selaidopoulos takes over at FC Supra for the final five games of the regular season, where they will try to mount a late push for the playoffs.
“Kyt brings a wealth of CPL experience and has been part of a championship-calibre environment that has consistently competed at the highest level,” said FC Supra president Rocco Placentino. “He understands Quebec soccer, he understands the CPL and, most importantly, he shares the ambition we have for this club. With five matches remaining, we believe this is the right time to make this change, bring renewed focus to the group and build momentum heading into our second season.”
Razzaghi, who was named Supra's first-ever head coach last October, led the club in their inaugural CPL campaign, which included a run to the semifinals of the TELUS Canadian Championship. He leaves with a 7-4-12 record in CPL play.
“We want to thank Nick for everything he has given to FC Supra during our first season,” said Placentino. “Both Nick and Ramtin took on the challenge of helping build a new professional club from the ground up and played an important role in establishing the foundation we have today. We appreciate their commitment to the club, the players and our supporters, and we wish them both the very best.”
FC Supra's coaching staff will continue to include Anthony Corneli and Laurent Ciman as assistants, as well as Florian Tertre as goalkeeper coach.
Selaidopoulos will take the reins for FC Supra's next match, which will be at home against Pacific FC this Sunday, Oct. 4 at Stade Boréale in Laval.
