FC Supra adds tactical versatility across front line

On Friday, FC Supra du Québec announced the acquisition of 24-year-old forward Noah dos Santos from Portuguese club Rio Ave. Financial details of the transfer were undisclosed.

FC Supra subsequently signed dos Santos to a contract guaranteed through 2026, with club options for 2027 and 2028.

A product of AS Saint-Léonard, dos Santos returns home to Quebec following successful spells in the Portuguese professional ranks with Rio Ave and Académica. Known for his explosive pace, physicality, direct attacking style and tactical versatility across the front line, dos Santos brings valuable European experience, including promotion and cup competition, to FC Supra.

“I had the opportunity to follow Noah’s development during his time at Vanier College, so I’m familiar with the qualities he brings,” said Nick Razzaghi, Head Coach, FC Supra du Québec. “His skill, experience, directness and ability to score goals will add another dimension to our attack, and we’re excited to welcome him to the squad.”

Dos Santos played with Varzim SC B in 2021-22, Cerveira in 2022-23 and Rio Ave U23 in 2023-24, before signing his first professional contract with Rio Ave FC in 2024. He then spent six months on loan with Académica de Coimbra before joining Leça FC, where he helped the club secure promotion to the Campeonato de Portugal and win the Jamor Final Four. He also scored the decisive 90th-minute goal against Vianense during the promotion phase, securing an important victory for the club.

In addition to the new signing, FC Supra confirmed that Călin Calaidjoglou and Alexandre Marcoux will return to their respective university programs for the upcoming U SPORTS season. Both players joined the club through the CPL-U SPORTS pathway, gaining professional experience while maintaining their collegiate eligibility. FC Supra will retain the CPL rights to both players for the 2027 season.

“Călin and Alexandre will always hold a special place in our history as two of the very first players to join FC Supra,” said Rocco Placentino, President, FC Supra du Québec. “We couldn’t be happier with how they represented the Club this season. They showed tremendous heart and dedication to our program, and we’re looking forward to cheering them on as they return to their university teams. At the same time, we’re excited to welcome Noah and see what his experience and attacking qualities can bring as we head into the second half of the season.”
