Canada Soccer announced on Monday that a 32-player men's national team squad will convene in Charlotte, N.C. this week for a training camp ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026, and the group will be joined by six training players including two current Canadian Premier League standouts.

Forge FC's Zayne Bruno and Cavalry FC's Maël Henry have both travelled to Charlotte to join Jesse Marsch's group to help Canada prepare for the World Cup.

Bruno, 19, has represented Canada at various youth levels, and made three appearances earlier this year for the U-20 team in Concacaf U-20 Championship qualifying.

Henry, meanwhile, played for Canada at the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship qualifiers and played in three matches.

Also included in Canada's squad is CPL alumnus Joel Waterman. The Chicago Fire defender was a standout for Cavalry FC in the 2019 season before becoming the first CPLer to make the jump to MLS.

Canada's final World Cup roster will be announced on Friday, May 29.
