With a goal and two assists, the Cavalry winger was the catalyst of their attack.

Under the summer sun, Cavalry FC's attack has been running free.

Leading the charge is the man who blazes down their left flank, Goteh Ntignee.

The 24-year-old's June began with a Goal of the Month contender on a thunderous half-volley from outside the box against Halifax as part of a 2-0 victory for Cavalry FC at ATCO Field.

He followed that up with a true attacking masterclass from the Calgary club in a 5-1 win over Inter Toronto at York Lions Stadium on June 10.

Toronto had no answer for Ntignee's quality and intelligent runs, as every time he got on the ball and faced forward, he looked likely to create danger. In the 44th minute, he played the decisive pass to goalscorer Sergio Camargo in a lovely counter-attacking move. Then, in second-half stoppage time, he played a perfectly weighted outside-of-the-foot pass to Niko Myroniuk, who converted Cavalry's fifth in a dominant 5-1 victory.

Ntignee was unlucky not to have even more in that match, with several other shot attempts, and excellent passes in the box, going unconverted by himself and teammates.

The dominant performances earned Ntignee the Canadian Premier League's Player of the Month award for June 2026.

During his two matches in a month shortened by the World Cup break, Ntignee had six shot attempts, seven chances created, six dribbles completed (of seven attempted) and a stunning 23 touches in the opposition box.

Ntignee becomes the second consecutive Cavalry player to win the league's Player of the Month award, following Tobias Warschewski, who was honoured for May.

With seven goals in two games in June, and a league-high 22 goals this season, Cavalry's attacking arsenal once again has them in the hunt for silverware.

Previous 2026 Player of the Month winners:

April - Sean Rea (FC Supra du Québec)
May - Tobias Warschewski (Cavalry FC)
June - Goteh Ntignee (Cavalry FC)
