Cavalry FC return to ATCO Field at Spruce Meadows this Saturday, April 25 where they’ll face newly rebranded Inter Toronto FC at 3:00 p.m. MT. In their last outing under Inter Toronto’s previous branding of York United, Cavalry came away with a 4-1 win in the 2025 Semifinal Qualifier.

The Cavs have continued to stay hot this season, staying undefeated with a 2-1-0 record and seven points. Inter Toronto are also undefeated with a 1-1-0 record and four points. Their win came last weekend with a 1-0 result over Vancouver FC.

Cavalry Head Coach and GM Tommy Wheeldon Jr spoke about facing off against his former player, Mauro Eustaquio: “Mauro always gets them very competitive [and] organized defensively.” Eustaquio returns to his former home where he made 15 appearances in 2019.

Tommy Wheeldon Jr is also looking forward to facing off against some familiar foes in Ollie Bassett and Beni Badibanga, “they’ve been successful in this league… [and] both have magic in their boots. If you want to be the best you’ve got to beat the best.”

Player to Watch: Cavalry fullback Adam Pearlman led the team with four tackles last weekend in Hamilton against Forge FC. The Toronto FC loanee has also started three consecutive games for the Cavs.

The match kicks off at 3:00 p.m. MT/5:00 p.m. ET, live on CBC Gem and OneSoccer.
