The road to the Canadian Bowl wasn't an easy one for the Westshore Rebels. Now, after a dramatic playoff run, the team is bringing the national championship home to Starlight Stadium.
The Rebels punched their ticket to the 2026 Canadian Bowl with a thrilling 35-28 victory over the Langley Rams in the Cullen Cup championship on October 24th. Entering the BC playoffs as the third seed, Westshore knocked off the top two teams in the conference on the road to claim the BCFC title and earn the right to host the national championship.
Now, they'll have a chance to make even more history.
Standing in their way are the Regina Thunder, who booked their place in the Canadian Bowl with a 44–15 victory over the Sault College Cougars in the national semifinal. The Thunder arrive in Langford looking to capture their second national championship, while the Rebels are chasing the first in franchise history.
