The Canadian Premier League announced Wednesday that Atlético Ottawa forward Ballou Tabla has been named Player of the Month for July 2026.
Tabla has been in remarkable form in recent weeks, scoring four goals and adding one assist in five matches in the month.
He has led Atleti to a surge up the table, as they posted a 2-1-2 record and finished July in third place.
Although Tabla began the 2026 campaign slowly, with no goals in his first seven CPL matches, he now has seven goals in the last nine league games. He sits second in the league's Golden Boot race, just one off the top.
In the month of July, no CPL player had more shots (15), touches in the box (24), or expected goals (2.54) than Tabla.
Tabla is the first Ottawa player to win this award in 2026.
