Inter Toronto picked up one of their biggest wins of the season on Saturday, and attacker Ariel Almagro was the architect.
In the sixth minute, Almagro picked out Sebastián Gonzalez, who picked out the top corner.
Six minutes later, he took the ball off Tobias Warschewski in the box, playing it into the path of Steffen Yeates, who made it 2-0.
In the second half, he found Yeates again on the second phase of a counterattack to put Inter Toronto up three -- assisting on all three goals.
Inter Toronto defeated Cavalry 3-1, and Almagro has been named the Canadian Premier League's Maple Lodge Farms Player of the Week for Matchweek 24.
Almagro created four chances in total, was fouled four times, and contested 15 duels during an electric performance.
This is the second time Almagro has been named the CPL's Player of the Week in 2026. He last earned the honour in Matchweek 17.
