It seems remarkable that before Friday night at ATCO Field, no Cavalry FC player had ever scored a CPL hat trick.
One of the best attacking teams in the league since its inception, the feat had never before been accomplished.
That changed in the second minute of second-half stoppage time during Cavalry's statement 6-0 victory over FC Supra du Québec at ATCO Field.
Musse was already on a brace, having opened the scoring in the seventh minute from the penalty spot before heading home a corner kick routine in the 68th.
In stoppage time, he stepped up to a free kick chance and curled a stunning effort off the bar and down into the net.
His historic hat trick earned him the Maple Lodge Farms CPL Player of the Week for Matchweek 23.
This is the seventh time this season that a Cavalry FC player has been named the CPL's Player of the Week.
