7:30 p.m. kickoff at Wanderers Grounds

Major League Soccer's Toronto FC travels to Halifax this week for a friendly with the hometown Wanderers.

It's a 7:30 p.m. AT kickoff, and tickets are available by clicking here

It's only the second-ever meeting between the two sides, following a thrilling Canadian Championship match in 2022. A sold-out Wanderers Grounds witnessed a 2-1 victory for Toronto that came down to the final minutes after a Sam Salter equalizer for Halifax. The match also saw the homecoming of Nova Scotia's Jacob Shaffelburg, then a member of TFC.

Toronto FC's 2026 roster features several stars in the football world, including the recent arrival of striker Josh Sargent from Norwich City in England.

Througout the years, the two clubs have been connected through either current or former TFC players spending time in Halifax. Wanderers Marcus Godinho, Lucas Olguin and Ryan Telfer all spent time in the Toronto FC system. Telfer scored once and tallied four assists in 20 first-team appearances for TFC in 2018/2019.

Former Halifax Wanderer Adisa De Rosario could get a chance to face his old side while in TFC colours. The goalkeeper spent part of the 2022 season in Halifax on loan from Toronto.

TFC comes into this match preparing for their return to MLS action, having not played since May 23 due to a break for FIFA World Cup 2026. For the Wanderers, it provides an additional match during a 13-day gap between CPL contests. Halifax recently defeated Pacific FC 2-1 on Sunday night and don't return to league action until July 18 when they head to Calgary to face Cavalry FC.
