2026 International Summer Series
The International Summer Series returns to Atlantic Canada!
It's the fourth edition of the annual competition that pits the best local talent in our region against football clubs from overseas.
This year, we welcome one of England’s most historic clubs, Nottingham Forest, for a two-match series between Halifax Wanderers U21 and Nottingham Forest Academy!
It all kicks off on Sunday, July 19, with a 12 p.m. kickoff in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland & Labrador, followed by a second match on Friday, July 24, with a 6 p.m. kickoff in Charlottetown, PEI.

About Nottingham Forest F.C.
Nottingham Forest Football Club is based in Nottingham, England, and competes in the English football league pyramid. Founded in 1865, the club is one of the oldest professional football clubs in the world.
Forest is one of England’s most historic clubs, best known for winning back-to-back European Cups in 1979 and 1980.
This summer, Nottingham Forest will send its Academy team to Atlantic Canada for the 2026 International Summer Series.
The Halifax Wanderers are thrilled to welcome Nottingham Forest to Atlantic Canada and see some of the future stars at the club face off against a Wanderers side comprised of emerging players from our region.
Past Series Highlights
The Halifax Wanderers U21 faced Wrexham U21 in a three-match series with stops in Halifax, NS, Charlottetown, PEI, and Saint John, NB for the 2025 International Summer Series. All three matches were sold out!
In 2024 The Halifax Wanderers U21s faced Ipswich Town U21 in St. John’s, NL and Sydney, NS.
In 2024, Halifax Wanderers U21 faced Middlesbrough U21 in Charlottetown, PEI and Halifax, NS.
