How to watch CPL action, and what to watch for, this matchweek.

The second month of the 2026 CPL season concludes this weekend with three days of action from coast-to-coast.

In Hamilton, the CPL's top two teams go head to head, while a first-ever meeting between FC Supra du Québec and Inter Toronto begins the weekend in Laval.

Plus, plenty more can't-miss action ahead in Matchweek 8. Here is everything you need to know:

Friday, May 29 - FC Supra du Québec vs. Inter Toronto

7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT — Stade Boréale — OneSoccer, TVA Sports 2
Tickets available here.

FC Supra du Québec are back home at Stade Boréale on Friday, looking to end a three-match winless run.

They finally scored their first goal of May to earn a draw at the Langley Events Centre, a solid road result they will be hoping can turn their fortunes.

On Friday, they welcome the final CPL club that they have not yet played, Inter Toronto, to Stade Boréale. Still unbeaten, Toronto have a big opportunity to gain ground on the top two, knowing at least one of them will drop points this weekend.

Saturday, May 30 - Halifax Wanderers vs. Vancouver FC

3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PT — Wanderers Grounds — OneSoccer, TSN
Tickets available here.

After meeting in Langley on opening day, Vancouver FC and the Halifax Wanderers swap coast for a clash at the Wanderers Grounds on Saturday.

Halifax took home their lone win of the season so far in the reverse fixture, 1-0 on a stunning Lorenzo Callegari free kick.

The Wanderers are winless in six since, with Vanni Sartini still searching for his first home win. They also have not won in six straight matches at the Wanderers Grounds in all competitions, dating back to last season.

Vancouver, meanwhile, are coming off a frustrating draw with FC Supra du Québec after conceding a stoppage-time equalizer. It's a big match for both as a result.

Saturday, May 30 - Pacific FC vs. Atlético Ottawa vs. Forge FC

6 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. PT — Starlight Stadium — OneSoccer
Tickets available here.

Pacific FC host Atlético Ottawa at the dawn of a new era for both clubs.

Last weekend was Pacific's first since 2021 without James Merriman on the touchline, as the club parted ways with their long-time head coach last Thursday.

For Atlético Ottawa, meanwhile, this will be Diego Mejía's last match in charge as he departs the capital for a new professional opportunity. He, however, will not be on the sidelines after receiving a suspension.

Atleti will be hoping to continue Mejía's winning legacy and come into the match victorious in three straight in all competitions. Pacific, meanwhile, still search for their first win of 2026.

Sunday, May 31 - Forge FC vs. Cavalry FC

5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT — Hamilton Stadium — OneSoccer
Tickets available here.

The weekend concludes with a top-of-the-table clash as Forge FC host Cavalry FC for the second time this season.

The first meeting solved nothing, as despite a second-half red card for Forge's Rezart Rama, the match ended 0-0.

Cavalry finally leapt Forge in the table this past weekend, as the Hammers' unbeaten streak ended in the nation's capital, while a dominant second half saw Cavalry defeat Pacific FC 3-0. Forge would love to immediately take back pole position with a win in what is sure to be a season-long battle.

Player to Watch:

Julian Altobelli, Inter Toronto

With four goals in six matches, Altobelli is once again off to a red-hot start to begin a CPL season. After scoring what he described as likely the best goal he has ever scored with a screamer from distance against Halifax he is tied for the league lead in the Golden Boot race. Averaging 4.35 shots attempted per 90, he has been backing himself in front of goal this season, and is being rewarded.
