TORONTO - Inter Toronto Football Club announces that Samuel Babarinde has joined the Inter Toronto Pathway ahead of the 2026 Ontario Premier League season.
Born in London, England, the 16-year-old full-back operates on both the left and right, bringing pace, aggression, and versatility across the back line. A left-footed player who also holds Congolese and Nigerian nationality, Babarinde has developed with Inter Toronto IV following previous experience with Brampton Soccer Club, Bryst Football Academy, and Asante Soccer Academy.
An aggressive and athletic defender, Babarinde stands out for his speed and ability to cover ground quickly in defensive situations. His playing style is defined by intensity and recovery pace, allowing him to engage in duels and manage wide areas effectively.
His journey with Inter Toronto began through the open tryout process in September 2025, where he quickly adapted to a competitive environment and earned his place within the club.
Babarinde’s development has also been shaped by resilience, particularly in managing the mental side of the game. His ability to respond to difficult performances with determination and consistency reflects a mindset focused on long-term improvement.
“Since joining Inter Toronto, I’ve learned a lot about the tactical side of the game, especially how to shift with the back line and recognize pressing moments. Those details are helping me become a better player,” said Babarinde.
That development has translated into a stronger understanding of defensive structure and positional awareness, as he continues to evolve within the club’s pathway.
