TORONTO - Inter Toronto Football Club announces that Isaac Rafael Sanchez Zambrano has joined the Inter Toronto Pathway ahead of the 2026 Ontario Premier League season.

Born in Quito, Ecuador, the 16-year-old full-back operates on both the left and right, bringing intensity, consistency, and tactical awareness to the back line. A left-footed player who also holds Canadian nationality, Sanchez Zambrano has continued his development with Inter Toronto IV following previous experience with Liga Valle, Academia de Fútbol Pablo Paredes, and Águilas AV in Ecuador.

A team-oriented and disciplined player, Sanchez Zambrano stands out for his work rate and consistency across all phases of the game. Capable of contributing both defensively and in build-up play, he combines smart decision-making with a simple and effective approach on the ball, while maintaining a strong understanding of positional responsibilities.

His background includes multiple achievements in Ecuador, including titles at national tournaments such as the Castro Loaiza National Tournament, El Colibrí National Tournament, and Titanium Kids competitions, where he was also named MVP. He has also gained international exposure through participation in the Bogotá Cup and AFNA competitions.

His football journey began in Ecuador, where he developed his technical and tactical foundation before moving to Canada in pursuit of new opportunities and continued growth within a competitive environment. Sanchez Zambrano joined Inter Toronto through the club’s tryout process, where his consistency and discipline allowed him to stand out and earn his place within the squad.

His progression has required adaptability, particularly in adjusting to new levels of competition and different playing styles, a process he has approached with discipline and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

“Being part of Inter Toronto means representing the club with hard work, respect, and commitment every time I step on the field,” said Sanchez Zambrano.

At Inter Toronto, his growth has been reflected in a stronger understanding of the game and improved consistency in his performances within a demanding and competitive environment.

Looking ahead, Sanchez Zambrano remains focused on earning more minutes, continuing to develop all aspects of his game, and working toward his long-term objective of reaching the professional level.
