TORONTO - Inter Toronto Football Club confirms that David Gennaro has signed with Inter Toronto Pathway ahead of the 2026 Ontario Premier League season.

Born in Toronto, Canada, the 17-year-old full-back operates on both sides of the defence, bringing consistency, awareness, and tactical discipline to his role. A player comfortable using both feet who also holds Dutch, Serbian, and Italian nationality, Gennaro adds versatility and reliability across the back line, with the ability to step into midfield when required.

A defensively minded full-back, he stands out for his positioning, work rate, and decision-making. His game is built on maintaining structure, reading situations effectively, and competing with intensity in duels, while staying composed under pressure.

Gennaro’s development has taken place across multiple environments, including experience with North York Hearts, Vaughan Azzurri, Richmond Hill, Juventus Academy Toronto, and North Toronto Nitros, before continuing his progression within the Inter Toronto system. Having already spent time within the club, he brings familiarity with its standards, expectations, and style of play.

His pathway reflects a process shaped by both progression and setbacks, including key moments in his development where he adapted to new environments and continued working toward higher levels of competition. Time spent training and trialing in Italy further contributed to his growth, exposing him to the demands of a professional environment at a young age.

“My goal is to continue developing, earn as many minutes as possible, and push toward playing at the highest level I can,” said Gennaro.

Within the Inter Toronto environment, his growth has been driven by consistent exposure to competitive training and a clear tactical structure, helping him refine his role and continue evolving as a reliable defensive option.

Looking ahead, Gennaro approaches the pathway as an opportunity to build on an already established foundation within the club, as he continues working toward increased responsibility and progression.
