TORONTO - Inter Toronto Football Club confirms that defender Allister Johnson will join Inter Toronto III as part of the club’s Pathway ahead of the 2026 Ontario Premier League season.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, the Canadian centre-back brings size, composure, and leadership qualities to the squad. Standing at 6’4”, Johnson is recognized for his ball-playing ability, defensive awareness, and physical presence both defensively and on attacking set pieces.

Comfortable building from the back, Johnson combines strong reading of the game with composure in possession, while his height and positioning allow him to consistently win aerial duels and make key interceptions.

Before joining Inter Toronto, Johnson developed through environments including FC Emery, North York FC, Heavens Elevens FC, and Woodbridge SC. His achievements include winning a CCAA national title with Humber, capturing the Ontario Cup with Heavens Elevens, and being part of a Holy Cross varsity program that won multiple YRAA and OFSAA titles.

Johnson’s pathway to the club began through connections at Humber, where he expressed interest in trialling with Inter Toronto before earning an extended opportunity during preseason. His performances ultimately led to his inclusion within the Pathway structure heading into the 2026 season.

“The club has pushed me to be more vocal throughout the game and to be more aggressive in winning the ball higher up the pitch,” said Johnson.

“I see the pathway helping me by putting me alongside professionals and giving me experience in this environment to become pro and train with the First Team.”

As part of Inter Toronto III, Johnson will continue developing within a competitive professional environment while working toward future opportunities within the club’s pathway system.
