TORONTO - Inter Toronto Football Club confirms that Christian Amaya will join Inter Toronto III as part of the club’s Pathway ahead of the 2026 Ontario Premier League season.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, the 17-year-old midfielder, who also holds Italian and Salvadorian nationality, brings a calm and technically composed profile to the squad, with the ability to dictate play in tight spaces and contribute across multiple attacking areas of the pitch. The left-footed midfielder joins Inter Toronto after previous development experiences with Etobicoke FC, Oakville Blue Devils, ProStars FC, and AIFC.
Comfortable both centrally and in wider attacking roles, Amaya stands out for his composure in possession, passing ability in tight spaces, and willingness to move the ball quickly while influencing attacking phases of the game. His athletic profile and versatility have also allowed him to compete consistently against older opposition throughout his development pathway.
His football journey began in Etobicoke house league before progressing into competitive academy environments, where he continued earning opportunities at higher levels. Throughout his development, Amaya gained valuable experience playing against older players, including time competing alongside League1 Ontario reserve environments and university opposition at a young age.
Amaya joined Inter Toronto after being monitored by the club for several months before eventually attending trials in October 2025: “I chose Inter Toronto because of the professional opportunities that they can give me, because that is ultimately my end goal,” said Amaya. “The club has put me in an environment to become better every single day.”
Alongside his technical growth, Amaya credits the club environment for continuing to push his development through daily competition and exposure to higher standards within the Pathway structure.
As he enters the 2026 season with Inter Toronto III, Amaya will look to continue building consistency in midfield while pursuing his long-term ambition of earning opportunities at the professional level.
