TORONTO - Inter Toronto Football Club confirms that Ali Hussein will join Inter Toronto IV as part of the club’s Pathway ahead of the 2026 Ontario Premier League season.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, the 16-year-old midfielder, who also holds Somali nationality, brings a creative and expressive profile to the squad, with a natural ability to operate in tight spaces and influence the game in advanced areas.

Comfortable both as a central and defensive midfielder, Hussein stands out for his willingness to take risks on the ball and unlock play through movement and creativity. His style is defined by his confidence in possession, ability to find pockets of space, and intent to drive the tempo of the game in attacking phases.

His development includes time with Asante Soccer Academy, where he built a strong technical foundation and earned recognition through individual honours, including Most Valuable Player and Best Offensive Player awards. These experiences have helped shape his identity as a dynamic and forward-thinking midfielder.

Hussein joined Inter Toronto through the club’s tryout process in late 2025, where he demonstrated his technical quality and ability to adapt within a competitive environment. Since arriving, he has continued to progress through consistent work and exposure to the club’s training standards.

“I like to take more risks and be more creative with the ball, which sets me apart from other players in my position. The club has helped my development significantly, making me a better player in the months I’ve been here,” said Hussein.

Within the Pathway, his growth has been supported by a structured and demanding environment that encourages creativity while reinforcing discipline and consistency.

As he enters the 2026 season with Inter Toronto IV, Hussein will look to continue developing his game, make an impact in midfield, and build toward greater opportunities within the club.
