HAMILTON, ONT. – April 1, 2026 – Forge FC and Head Coach & Sporting Director Bobby Smyrniotis announced Wednesday the club’s coaching and operations staff for the 2026 season.
Four coaches return from Forge FC’s 2025 staff, including Bobby Smyrniotis, Johan Albert, Kyriakos Selaidopoulos and George Kyriazis. The group is supported by an experienced operations staff that will oversee all off-field and performance-related needs throughout the season.
“We’re pleased to bring back a strong core of our staff heading into 2026,” said Smyrniotis. “Continuity within our group is important, and we’re confident this staff will continue to support our players and push the club forward this season.”

Bobby Smyrniotis was named Forge FC’s first-ever Technical Director and Head Coach on October 1, 2018. On May 1, 2023, he expanded his role to Head Coach & Sporting Director. He has led Forge FC to six consecutive Canadian Premier League Final appearances, winning league titles in 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023. Smyrniotis was named CPL Coach of the Year in 2024 and 2025 and has been a finalist for the award in every season of the club’s existence. Under Smyrniotis’ leadership, Forge FC became the first CPL club to compete in both the Concacaf League and the Concacaf Champions League.
