The 38th match between Forge FC and Cavalry FC kicks off this Saturday, April 18 in Hamilton, ON at 2:00 p.m. MT/4:00 p.m. ET. Hamilton Stadium hosted the previous match between these clubs in the 2025 Contender Semifinal in the CPL Playoffs where Cavalry played spoiler in a 1-0 win to clinch a spot in the CPL Final.

Both Forge and Cavalry have started the 2026 CPL season atop the standings with a 2-0-0 record. Cavalry have scored a league-leading five goals with Forge having yet to concede.

Cavs midfielder Harry Paton faces his former club in Forge who he made six appearances for at the end of the 2025 season before joining Cavalry over the offseason. Paton will also be up against his brother, Ben Paton, for the first time in their careers after playing with each other in their hometown of Kitchener, ON and in Scotland with Ross County.

Harry shared some positive words ahead of the matchup with his brother. “[I’m] really looking forward to it. He’s a top player and hopefully we get some one-on-one duels in the game.”

Player to Watch: Cavalry captain Sergio Camargo has been with the club since the first season and is ever so familiar with the rivalry. He’s looking for his first goal of the season after recording an assist in Cavalry’s 3-1 win over Ottawa.

The match kicks off at 2:00 p.m. MT/4:00 p.m. ET, live on TSN and OneSoccer.
