As the clock ticked into the final minute of FC Supra du Québec's inaugural home match in Montréal, it looked as if the points would be shared with Ottawa.
As a new rivalry is born in the Canadian Premier League, it was one of Ottawa's Franco-Ontarian youth graduates who would seal the victory with a late header (watch on CBC).
Read the quote from Tyr's post-match press conference below...
On the first match against Supra:
It's an amazing feeling to get our first win of the season. The atmosphere here was nice, it's close to Ottawa, so we've got a good rivalry with the fans, and I'm happy to get the win.
On picking up three points:
We didn't start the season off in the way we wanted. This is a good way to boost morale for the team, show what we want to do or the rest of the season, and move forward positively from here.
On a blossoming rivalry:
It's going to be a good rivalry, especially since we have a lot of players from the province as well. Just the fact that people here know each other, it adds a little bit of fight into every duel and challenge.
On earning bragging rights:
Not really [didn't talk about it beforehand], no, but now we have them. Just take this feeling into the next game and win again.
