Atlético Ottawa confirmed today that it will host the 2026 Canadian Premier League (CPL) Playoff Semi-Finals at TD Place on Sunday, November 1 (KO 2pm ET).
Atlético’s opponent is yet to be determined, with Forge FC (Hamilton) and Cavalry FC (Calgary) both potential semi-final rivals for the defending Champions.
One playoff spot remains available, with four teams still in the running. Atleti clinched in thrilling fashion last Wednesday, as midfielder Gabriel Antinoro scored a last-minute winner in a comeback victory over league leaders Cavalry.
Season Seat Members will have first access to Playoff Tickets, followed by fans on the waitlist. Public sale is set to begin on Thanksgiving Monday (October 12).
This is the fourth time Atlético has qualified for the CPL Playoffs, with the first two appearances in the postseason coming under former Head Coach Carlos González. In 2025, after a record-breaking Regular Season with Head Coach Diego Mejía, Atleti made history by earning the right to host a second CPL Final - winning it for the first time - in a match that went viral worldwide thanks to the blizzard-like conditions and David Rodríguez’s now-infamous ‘Icicle Kick’.
Head Coach Gustavo Leal becomes the third Head Coach in Atleti history to lead the club into the playoffs.
The semi-final will be hosted over two legs, and the winner on aggregate (combined score) will progress to the CPL Final and compete for the North Star Cup. If the aggregate score is tied after both legs, the match will proceed to extra time and then a penalty shootout. You can find out more information on the CPL playoff format by **clicking here.**
